How it Works

StopLift has developed the first ever artificially intelligent computer vision software specifically designed to analyze and understand the body motions of a cashier at the checkout.

By mathematically analyzing the pixels of digitized video, the software (patent-pending in over 30 countries) scrutinizes how exactly a cashier handles each item to determine whether or not she has properly scanned it.  The system is capable of understanding the full set of fraudulent behaviors including when a cashier covers up a bar code by hand or purposely misaligns the scanner and item such that it is not scanned.

By automating a task otherwise too laborious for humans, the computer vision software is able to inspect the cashier’s handling of each item of every transaction enabling it to catch sweethearting the first time it occurs.

ROI Value Chain

Proven StopLift Technology

Examine 100% of video

Since the visual recognition is automated, this makes it possible for StopLift's patent-pending technology to  visually scrutinize the video of each and  every transaction.

Detect fraud earlier than ever before possible

Dishonest employees are therefore identified on the basis of tangible video evidence the very first time they conduct  a fraudulent transaction, rather than  waiting months or even years for an  exception to emerge.

Significantly reduce fraud
at the POS
&
Eliminate costly human review of video

Detecting dishonest behavior the first time drastically reduces case value and duration.

Inspection reports (TM) arm LP personnel  with case-ready police-presentable  summaries of incriminating visual  evidence freeing them from time consuming review of exception reports and non-specific video.
