What Happened:
In the first clip the cashier is sending text messages.
In the second the cashier is talking on the store phone.
Keep it from Happening Again:
Cashiers can lock their personal phones in a locker or even their own drawer. In an emergency they can always be contacted at the store number.
Remind cashiers that in-store conversations can be held when there isn't a customer at the POS, if a price check is necessary stop scanning while on the phone.
